Focus on Yourself
What better way to reset than connect with mother nature. Only a few minutes from the Casita you are welcomed by the United States’ only Rain Forest, El Yunque (El Joon-kay) National Forest. Here you’ll find the solitude you’re looking for while connecting with amazing flora and wildlife of the island.
Head West!
You landed in San Juan and booked it east to the Casita and it only took you about 30 minutes. Now, head back to San Juan and check out the city and all it has to offer. From the historic Fort Castillo Felipe del Morro, to the downtown area (Old San Juan) lined with colorful homes and great music, restaurants, and attractions. Once you work up a thirst, be sure to hit up the Bacardi Distillery, and my favorite Ron del Barrilito Distillery for tours, tastings, and some swag (ie bottles of rum). On the way back, hit up the T-Mobile District for a little night life mixed with some shopping!
Bring some Energy!
Look, we have given you only a few options of the many things to do while in Puerto Rico, and all within a short driving distance. Three nights and four days you’ll be hard pressed to even scratch the surface. Six nights and 7 days, you’ll have a descent grasp on some things, but you’ll need energy to power through it! Here is list of other options to pack those days full:
Bioluminescence Bay Kayak Tours
Take a Catamaran Tour (Beach Time, Snorkeling, Drinks) on the Salty Dog.
Visit the Beautiful Seven Seas Beach
Check out the Island of Vieques only a short boat ride or even take the ferry!
You would be disappointed if you didn’t also check out the Island of Culebra. Also only a short boat or ferry ride and you can even catch a small plane rider over.
